Subject: Steer manure before beans

I see on another post of high soybean yields some guys recommend manure. I can see that to get the p and k but usually with that u are getting a high dose of n. This past year I was advised against spreading 10-15 ton of steer manure on the field that is going into soybeans next year. I was told there would be too much n there and that is bad for the beans....grow too tall, bad nodulation, etc. Is this true or does anyone have experience with this? I'm in south central wi.
