NW MN | I have a field that has a bad aphid problem. I did my 2nd pass of Roundup 16 days ago and I did not see any aphids at that time. Beans were at R1 to R2. Had intentions of checking it late last week but it is an hour drive away and small grain harvest ramped up at my other job and I did not get the chance to check until tonight. Beans are at R3 maybe getting towards R4 now.
There are aphids covering the plants top to bottom, way above the threshold. Colonizing the stems heavily. The top leaves on most plants are shriveled and the plants are coated with the sticky residue. Plants on the dry areas are turning brown and the field looks sick all over. We also have not had a rain for 2-3 weeks. Airplane is booked to come in ASAP with Lorsban, hopefully tomorrow.
How much % wise do you think I have lost on this piece? I know it's not a lot of info to go on and no pics, but am I looking at 10-20% or way worse?
