In iowa , we've had our share of crappy weather (in my estimation) over my 56 years . Frost, wind, hail rain, but I will say that this year the wet weather for Missouri and surrounding areas of ill., s ia., and other places is probably crappiest stretch of bad weather I've heard ofsince '93. Only rivaled by the 4 year drought in Oklahoma, Kansas, and texas. 2013 and 2014 were tough in north iowa and Minnesota, but at least we had crop insurance at higher revenue levels than now. In 2014 I had one farm that got 21 inches of rain in june and it was poor, but it didn;t go on for 2 months!!

Parts of iowa and Minnesota have some really good looking crops, but.....there is not 1 kernel of corn out there yet. Not 1, so the cbot had better be pretty darn sure of themselves if they are counting on us to pull 160+ out for all the zeros everywhere else.

I hope that everyone took the "harvest price option" on there crop insurance!!
