Subject: So how does that MN crop look??

McLeod County, MN
The silence is deafening. Best its been around here in a long time, and there are a bunch of relieved souls after 2013 and 2014. I found some corn today that was approximately 7 feet tall DK 46-79ss and a little behind was P9703. A couple others are right behind them in my DK market development plot. I have never had corn tower over me before the end of June. I am 6 feet tall. It is nice to be out front but we sure are a long way from the finish line. The state fair drought of 2013, proved that. Moist and temps have been ideal and sure praying it continues. About 10 days from pollination for some of my corn.

Pic 1 is the DK Plot. It is much taller closer to the woods, but I expect the bottom ground to outyield it.

Pic 2 is a field of Golden Harvest G01p52gt (rr only)

Pic 3 is some of the plot remnants

Pic 4 is from my grower plot with my helper

Pic 5 is a peat ground that always floods on me. In 5 years I have never seen corn actually grow down there, except along the ditch. Praying it makes something other than zero for a yield.

Pic 6 is my grower plot loving the sunshine and adequate moisture and fertility.

Sorry to you fellas that got blasted by the white combine.
