Subject: Seeding cover crop into standing soybeans

What would be a CHEAP and effective way to seed cover crops into standing soybeans? I would like to try some Crimson clover to get some nitrogen for the following corn crop. I am northwest of Dayton, Ohio and it is too late typically to get clover established after soybean harvest I tried Austrian winter peas once after soybeans but they did not winter kill, grew very well in the spring, and then was able to notil plant corn after usiing a stalk chopper.

Would a sprayer using flood nozzles and water work or would the clover seed sink to the bottom of the tank? Other ideas to get the seeding accomplished? Any other cover crop suggestions to grow nitrogen? Thanks, Jim
