Tell me about how a lift assist systems works?  Never been around anything very heavy on 3 point and now we are trying to get 3 point strip till rig that is very heavy in the field yesterday.  Would like to hook lift assist up so it lifts with 3 point which i'm told is possible but how, is it something i can get done in a couple hours or winter time shop project?  Tractor is a CIH MX285.  How does it work using the top link with the rear wheels, wondering what will happen when you go over a ridge or gully?  Should this be setup as a 2 point system?
