I have a flowmeter on a MicroTrak sprayer rate controller that was using a reed switch to send signal back to the monitor. Changed over to a Hall Effect switch, the problem is that the reed switch just connected the sensing wire to ground. The Hall Effect output is 5 volts. Which transistor: NPN or PNP will convert this 5 volt signal to a grounding signal? TIA
