Subject: Repeat VM notifications - iPhone

My brother just discovered through doing some research on the net that the iPhone gives ONE audible notification for voice mails and missed calls. Since there is no LED light, if that one is missed, you won't know about it until you turn the screen on the next time. This is liable to be a deal breaker for him. He has all his business calls forwarded to his cell phone and is often operating equipment where he can't hear or feel the vibration. Apparently, the iPhone will give up to three notifications for new text messages though. The only solution I have come up with is YouMail - a voice mail service that replaces your stock service. It can be configured to send and email and/or text message when you have a voice mail left or a missed call where the caller did not leave a message. At least he'd have three notifications, but depending on how far apart they are, he still might miss them. He doesn't want to constantly have to check his phone for missed calls or vm's.

There seems to be a fair number of people who wish iOS had repeat notifications or at least an LED. Maybe Apple will include this feature in a future update. In the meantime, any iPhone owners out there find a better solution?

And here you thought this was going to be another McCartman ad for the iPhone.....  ;
