Subject: Soys with a JD 455????

Tip of the Thumb of Michigan

I have not planted soys or edibles with my 455 before, but plan to try some narrow rows of each.  White mold is a consideration here, so I will be planting some with planter in 30".  I have purchased a Loup electronics monitor that I can use for beans and wheat, so will use that to help set population. It is a 7.5" drill.   I don't have a manual, so was wondering if I need to adjust the little bottom thingy under the fluted meters?  Also, do you just duct tape the holes to do 15" or 22.5"?   Does anyone remove the unused row units?  It looks at though one pin and 2 bolts and it's off.  We will roll after planting.
