I'm in the process of putting a DT466 where a 9.0L V8 was (both w/allison 653 a/t) and the 466 has a belt drive hydraulic pump (with a/c compressor type clutch) instead of being driven off the transmission. Is this done because the trans pto only works in neutral (the donor truck had a snow plow so it needed to pump and roll)? It looks like a nice setup and unless there is a reason I don't want it, I think I'll use it.
