Fruita CO | Last Friday, a local farmer who I have known for over 40 years died in a farm accident. He was driving a telehandler along the canal bank, got too close, the bank caved off & ran off into the canal. This happened last Friday, but I've held off posting anything about it until the obituary came out in the paper. They think he may have had a medical event of some kind, but I don't know that for sure.
I got to know him when I worked a the JD dealer, & worked on his equipment for many years after I went out on my own. They had the first hay cubers in the valley. An innovator & go-getter, Tom was one of those guys who could piss you off one minute & have you laughing the next, there will never be another Tommy...
Prayers for his family would be appreciated.
