| So I sold my home and plan to build new. I'm going to rent in the meantime. The new rental has two windows that are broken to the outside, glass exposed and the holes about the size of a softball. Several other issues of doors, trim, etc along with my dog getting fleas. I dident notice some of this stuff on the showing since the previous tenants stuff was still there and blinds were pull down on the broken windows, they were evicted. I've only been there a few days and plan to get out. What would you expect from the landlord? Was the lease ever valid since landlords have a legal obligation to maintain habitable and safe housing? I assumed they would have it cleaned and ready for the next renter(me) before issuing the keys. Just looking for thoughts | |
