Subject: Claas 900 chopper help

We bought the chopper a year ago. Ran it last fall and now started chopping this year. I have a question when you get into good corn and push it a little it will start whining and slowing down almost like you are overloading it. Once you slow down and let it get the silage out it speeds right back up. It is almost like the blower is wanting to plug. Now tonight when we were running it after the sun went down you couldn't slow the machine down. Corn that had given problems all day went right through at 4.5 to 5 mph but during the day you couldn't take it at 3 to 3.5. I would think in 10 ton corn you should be able to cruise along better then 3.5 mph. So I am wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen before or if there are some belts I should look at any advice or experiences is greatly appreciated. Thanks
