Subject: FIRE ANTS

West Cental Arkansas
Got 6 acres in our little town that I keep mowed with the lawnmower. Going to build a house there in a couple of years when we sell the farm. Mowed the grass this afternoon. Thought the fire ants were about all gone. Older gentleman I bought the land from has been trying to keep them under control. We have got almost 10 inches of rain in the last 10 days. Today when I was mowing the fire ant mounds have multipled 20 times over since the rain. Does anyone know of a chemical I can broadcast over the entire piece of property to do away with the fire ants. I have the equipment to do the spraying with. We have been putting granules on the mounds and it was pretty well killing the ants. There are just way too many mounds now to do it one at a time. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.
