Thanks Dave for cautioning me. We painted a peace of metal , done what the clear coat can said. It took the paint right off.
So ended up just the paint job no clear coat.
I have used some clear coat but from now on will be testing it be fore hand.
My paint was oil base.
Going to ask my painter friend about using clear coat.
