![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=52934&type=profile&rnd=154) Central IA | Looking for a little advise/help on planter settings. I have a White 6100 with Dawn screw adjust row cleaners. Its a 6 row 30. 4 spring down pressure, no fert or bug boxes. I was planting beans in no-til and no-til with rye. Things looked okay, closing wheels a little suspect, just rubber angled wheels. Will spend some time and $ on some form of closing wheel this summer.
Now the main problem. I cleaned up two fence rows by field. And had to clean up some tile lines that wear put in spring of 2015. I chiseled then disked these small areas. When the planter crosses these. It really burms quite a bit. Or row cleaners move more than I feel they should. But if I move row cleaners up, they dont move corn stalks very well in no-til areas, 95% of field. Is this a down pressure issue or justy normal that two differnt settings needed for no-til and conventional. The ground is rather "fluffy" where the disk went.
