Schochoh Ky | With the crop insurance decision at hand , just wondering if anyone who is a little bullish right now , pulled the trigger on a later discovery period. We still have a few hours to choose. Going to get an email a little later with power point to help my decision . We have never done this and there is lots to understand. I'm not looking for a dollar plus increase in price , but I would be happy to pick up an additional 35-50 cents on insurance guarentee. I believe we rally a little more but I have no idea when, time wise.On our farms we are at about 180 aph times 85% , gives us a trigger at 153, so an extra .35 would take us up 53.55 an acre. Don't know if we rally this much and too, got to hit the discovery period right. Any guesses when we could rally dec. corn . My thought is last half June or first half July or last half July.More periods more premium .Any thoughts , temperature broke previous record set in 2012 by 7 degrees here today. 89 for high | |
