The black sand beaches of Jamaica, IL | Have a 2011 f-250 gas motor, 30k mi. Today while driving noticed a shudder through the steering wheel and seemed to be low on power. Stopped and noticed both front brakes incredibly hot. Was fine earlier in the trip, not towing anything but problem started after picking up about a 500lb payload. The shudder did go away but the front brakes kept dragging a little, still pretty hot after about 10 mile trip home.
Are there any known issues on these trucks? At first I thought there might be some issue with the stability control, but the dash light that comes on when it's working wasn't coming on at all and no other lights on either. I find it odd that both calipers would have issues at the same time so could be a master cylinder issue, just not sure. Rear brakes seemed to be normal temperature. Any ideas? |
