If you look at liveships it shows that there are 60-70 bulk carriers parked just outside the port of Paranagua, Brazil and they appear to be loading 2-maybe 3 per day. A rough estimate is 50,000 metric ton per ship so they could load maybe 3 MMT in the next 30 days.
It is an interesting idea. They practically load the beans right off the back of the combine into ships. What's surprising to me is that there are enough ships looking for loads that they will sit idle for weeks waiting for a load. Ocean freight rates must be pretty soft if that's the case.
