The Delta | Rained out thrashing beans, and reading about Hutterite colony farms. Wouldn't it be in farmers best interests to buy and operate under a coop or colony type farm? If you represent 100,000 acres, you will buy inputs and machinery far cheaper than competition, split profit per farmer with an attorney and accountant handling expenditures to keep greed out? It could also be advantageous in land rent, and reducing competition. This sounds far fatched to some I'm sure, locally there are a couple multi family operations that have been running for a few years and I see their efficiency's.
I'm told if you get over 8 million with deere it gets really sweet. Can't confirm. | |
