The Green Hills of Missouri | Took a load to the scale yesterday to yield check the earlage, here's my math.
21,700#-5900#=15,800#
15 rows×38"÷12=47.5'×1560'row length=1.7 acres
15,800#÷1.7ac=9294#/ac or 4.65 ton/ac
My guess is that the grain moisture is around 16%
I chopped my silage from the same field, my gut feeling is that earlage yield is 40% of whole plant silage. Could only get 6 rows on a load of silage.
