Subject: Best way to go about corn/corn on lighter soil, strip-till

Have a farm that may change to rent from 50/50. If it'll be the price he's talking about there will never be a bean on his ground, only corn. Half the farm is light timber soil that has a roll so I'm not going to start an erosion problem for the future. What would the best way to go about this be? I would say a chopping head followed by an Excelerator once or twice to size and maybe move a slight bit of soil, then make strips on the fall to plant on in the spring then side dress. Would this work? Whats everyone else doing in a situation like this?

TIA
