Someone mentioned the above term a couple weeks ago....I thought it pretty well fit the project below.

The 50-100 acres of grain we have per year didn't really warrant spending approx $25K for a header, so this is what transpired. The PTO came out of the spare parts bin, the jackshaft was a very simple machining job, and the steel hydraulic lines were all reused. Only parts purchases were the Faster hydraulic connector, a few pieces of steel, and three hoses.

Flame away....I have a thick skin.
