NE SD | We run 3 3020 heads in wheat on 2388's. We've had nothing but problems with it pluging up on us. Well the solution was actually kinda simple, for $250 a head we ordered flighting extention kits from the dealer and extended the flighting that was already on it, to make it work, (don't know how your heads are set up) (ours had 2 12inch pieces of flighting extentions on the heads) we took off one 12inch piece and added a 30inch piece, the holes are all there, they just have a carriage bolt in there to cover the hole. Adding that 30inch piece on each side extended our flighting by 10-15 inches on each side solving our problems. Harvested all day yesterday, never had one plug up, But i've heard they don't have all heads set up the same so maybe you'll be able to just add an extention or maybe throw of a short piece and add the longer piece, depends on the hole setup in the auger!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck, BTW you can also get what they call sweepers to add right behind the auger fingers, but we decided we'll try that first, Again Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!! | |
