Subject: heater for stock tank

Now that were getting in to colder weather I am looking at a heater for my 8ft stock tank. So what would you guys recommend for an electrical heater. Ive seen these floating heaters an ones that go in the bottom off the tank. So what should I get to do the best job. Thanks guys.
