After useing a rigid roller crimper on my farm and not happy with how it kept ground contact but bridged over uneven ground I set out to design and build a roller crimper with multiple smaller sections that would flex while traveling through uneven places in the field.
After designing and building and then seeing this crimper in action,the 4 flex points of this crimper never stopped flexing even while on flat ground. Keeping the chevron crimper drums to where there flat on the ground is very important when crimping. This one is 18.5’ wide, 3 sections, both wings have 2 flex points that flex up and down as well as pivot to keep 100% ground contact. It folds for narrow transport, drums can be filled with water if needed.
